Rubio Kids debuts communion fashion line at El Día Mágico

The children´s wear brand RUBIO KIDS presented its “First Communion 2015” fashion collection at the fair "El Día Mágico by Fimi" (The Magic Day by FIMI) which was held on from the 16th until the 18th May 2014 at the emblematic “Royal Tapestry Factory” in Madrid, Spain.

The evaluation of the management team of RUBIO KIDS has been very positive in terms of their presence at this children fashion event organized by FIMI – Valencia´s Children Fashion Fair-. After many years of celebration in its place of origin -Valencia- the fair recently moved to Madrid to get closer to the visitors.

The affluence of visitors, both domestic and foreign, as well as the attendance of old and new customers has been in May 2014 significantly better than at the last “Día Mágico” 2013 edition, which coincided with the fact that it was the first time that this event was held in Madrid. RUBIO KIDS confirms that the excellent reception that its 2015 collection has received by all visitors and costumers during the last edition held from the 16th to the 18th of May 2014, was mainly based on the valuable drive that the RUBIO KIDS design team has given to the new brand´s collection.

Alongside the success in terms of sales in Spain, we should highlight the significant presence of RUBIO KIDS abroad, being its main export countries Belgium, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, The Middle East and Russia.

The gardens of the “Royal Tapestry Factory” were the idyllic scenery for the First Communion Fashion Shows held by several brands, highlighting among all of them the lovely designs of the 2015 Communion Collection designed by RUBIO KIDS, especially the innovative creations e.g.: the tailored trouser-suit for girls .

Inspired by the design worn by Bianca Jagger (Yves Saint Laurent´s style) during her wedding in 1971 in the French Riviera´s glamorous town of Saint Tropez to the lead singer of the Rolling Stones. Although the model and former wife of Mick Jagger wore a two-piece jacket and long skirt, RUBIO KIDS model takes the atmosphere of hippy glamour trousers.

In fact, the new collection, designed by Rafa Sanchez, the Art Director of the brand, is inspired by the weddings of two world famous top models who got married to singers. The other choice is Kate Moss, who wore a John Galliano´s design for her marriage to the rocker Jamie Hince in the rural setting of the English countryside. A romantic dress, without extravagance and with a nostalgic RUBIO KIDS’ vintage touch at the same time.

The 2015 First Communion collection that RUBIO KIDS presented during the event held at the “Royal Tapestry Factory” in Madrid followed this inspiration. A brand that remains true to its spirit but with the signature of Rafa Sánchez (a designer who has worked for Vivienne Westwood and Dolce & Gabanna), taking so a more " risky " style. Sánchez rescued the “Flower Power movement” through colours, designs, patterns and accessories.

Gauze, tulle, organza or voile embroidery show apricot or pearly white tones Simple forms which are sometimes elaborated, but always with a nod to a liberating and happy style. The floral shapes even take over the designs to reclaim their drawings. Accessories also use applications like wild leaves, grapes, wild flowers.
