Valentine Express Lane, from food & fashion to travel and music

Customers can spend more time with their sweethearts this year when they do their Valentine's Day shopping at their neighborhood Winn-Dixie.

Winn-Dixie floral departments are offering bouquets of a dozen roses in a variety of colors, with a complimentary vase and gift bag. Customers also will find a selection of cards, candy and special gifts for Valentines of all ages.

“We are making Valentine's shopping as fun and convenient as possible,” said Cindy Hanauer, Winn-Dixie director of floral operations. “Customer response to our specially-priced flowers, free gift wrapping and 'Express Lane' checkouts was very strong last year, so we are committed to getting even better this year.”

Once customers have picked out the perfect flower bouquet or arrangement for their valentine, they can take advantage of complimentary gift-wrapping. The wrapping stations will be located in the store lobby, and will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 12, and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Feb. 13 and 14.

To expedite the shopping process, the special “Valentine Express Lane” checkout registers will be devoted to customers purchasing Valentine's Day items. The “Valentine Express Lane” is located closest to the floral department and is open on Feb. 12 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For those shoppers who are stumped about what to get their Valentine, Winn-Dixie carries an extensive line of gift cards for all ages.

“Our gift card mall provides Winn-Dixie customers access to more than 80 popular national brands, all available in one convenient location,” noted Rich Romano, prepaid sales manager for Winn-Dixie. “From food and fashion to travel and music, we have a gift card to fit everyone's Valentine wish list.”
