Emerging market for fashion & luxury goods

China, the booming economy of the world is now a rising market for fashion and luxury goods and attracting famous worldwide brands in the country.

A recent survey indicates, China is third largest consumer of luxury and fashion goods.

In recent times, world's foremost fashion brands are trying venture into Chinese market and domestic players have also started to pep up their brands.

Leading fashion products manufacturers met at China-France Fashion and Luxury Management Forum - jointly held by China's Tsinghua University, HEC Paris and the French Fashion Institute, to exchange ideas and views.

According to a survey, China's fashion products industry has registered $2 billion sales in year 2005 and expected to grow at 20 percent annually after 2008.

By 2015, country's luxury goods market will cross $11.5 billion and will account 29 percent of world's consumption.

Currently, country has around 10–13 million luxury goods buyers with average annual income of 240,000 yuan.

Country's rising economy, growing urban population will all the more provide enough reasons to develop luxury goods market.
