Benzene prices up in Europe & stable in US last week

Benzene prices went up in Europe in the last week ended Jan 1 from gain in upstream and downstream product prices in the region.
However, due to correction in feedstock prices, average prices were stable in the US.
In Europe, average prices expanded by US$ 40/ton or 6.50 per cent and were quoted at US$ 655/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.
In US, average prices remained steady and were assessed at 210 cents/gallon in the last week, as against its prior week.
However, due to correction in feedstock prices, average prices were stable in the US.
