E-commerce major Flipkart has appointed Ravi Krishnaswamy and Sharat Singh as vice presidents, the company said in a press release. Krishnaswamy will hold the position as Vice President of Engineering for Infrastructure and Singh as Vice President of Engineering for Content.

As VP of Engineering for Infrastructure, Krishnaswamy will focus on strengthening operations across IAAS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PAAS (Platform as a Service) and for understanding and address the current challenges pertaining to organisation design and bandwidth.
Sharat Singh as VP of Engineering for Content, will lead the CMS Engineering team which includes CMS Data Management, Quality, Content Relevance, Development and Creation, Flipkart said.
Singh, who was the Chief Technology Officer - international & platforms at MakeMyTrip, will drive technical strategy for content to transform user experience and shape how customers purchase products on the Flipkart app. (SH)
