In January 2023, the Netherlands’ total volume of goods exports was up by 4.8 per cent year-on- year (YoY), as per Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The increase over January was mainly seen in exports including that of petroleum products and machinery. The volume of goods imports was up by 5.1 per cent YoY.

The CBS Exports Radar indicated that circumstances for exports in March are more favourable than in January. This is mainly because producer confidence in the eurozone and opinions of European manufacturers about their foreign orders improved in March compared to January’s Radar, CBS said in a press release.

Goods exports account for approximately three quarters of total exports.
