WHITE, one of Europe's leading lifestyle exhibition platforms, has joined forces with C.L.A.S.S. to present WHITE GOES GREEN with C.L.A.S.S., a show within a show entirely dedicated to promoting stylish brands and designers with a sustainable soul exemplifying the growing role that innovative, sustainable fashion now plays in the industry. WHITE will also open in New York for its very first edition in the USA (February, 20th – 22nd).

“2012 brings two significant changes to WHITE that we are very proud of”, says Massimiliano Bizzi – President of the White Group. “For the first time WHITE will be in the USA for the very first edition of WHITE New York. We are happy to announce WHITE Goes green with C.L.A.S.S., a space dedicated to the exploration of the new frontiers of commercially viable sustainable fashion.”

C.L.A.S.S. is a veteran at WHITE and has been present at the prestigious event for four editions with its own space “Selection by C.L.A.S.S..” In 2012 C.L.A.S.S. will be adding a variety of Eco-Fashion partners to its portfolio expanding on its apparel and materials library with brands specialized in accessories including 2ADD, Bioneuma, Kenland Linen, Momi Maison and Venuxberg.

“White Goes Green is an excellent opportunity for designers and fashion brands to exhibit their collections in an internationally renowned show.” Says Giusy Bettoni, C.L.A.S.S. Founder & CEO. “A selection of the very best from White Goes Green with C.L.A.S.S., will be in New York as well as Milan. The USA are a key market where there are very strong interests in innovative sustainable fashion and where many designers and stylists share our vision. It is a great opportunity for us to bring our expertise, partner brands and eco-library to New York and work on finding synergies with the local industry and market.”

C.L.A.S.S.' vast materials Eco-library will be on display both in Milan and New York, featuring fabrics, yarns, production and finishing processes samples divided in three main areas: NATURALS & ORGANICS (textiles made from wool, silk, cashmere, cotton, linen, bamboo, hemp) REPURPOSED & RECYCLED (fabrics containing recycled polyester, recycled polyamide, recycled cashmere, recycled denim, textiles with a second life) INNOVATIVE RENEWABLES (new biopolymers, paper, milk protein, soy, seaweed, regenerated cellulosics).

For its first edition in New York, White Goes Green will present 959, Le Cose di Eugenio Vazzano and Momi Maison. On top of this, CLASS will be part of a very interesting panel dedicated to “Design Responsibility”, taking place at Parson school (fashion auditorium) on 21st of February at 6 pm, thanks to a consolidated partnership between this two association: a conversation in the Rethinking Fashion series, which challenges emerging designers and fashion professionals to rethink the existing design practices, material resources, and tools related to design responsibility.

This panel will be moderated by James Mendolia, Interim Director, Fashion Marketing, Parsons The New School for Design. The main speakers, in addition to Massimiliano Bizzi and Giusy Bettoni, will be Dr. Stefano Cochis (Business Unit Director Filature Miroglio Group), Danielle Levine (Head of Marketing and Communications of Yoox Group US) and Amanda de Vaulx (VP Business Development - Americas, Stylus).
