Chinese nylon production surged from a year earlier in April 2011, but fell from its previous month.
Nylon output reached 146,800 tons in April, representing a rise of 21.4 percent year on year, but down 6.10 percent from the previous month.
In January to April this year, Chinese cumulative production of nylon completed 601,900 tons, up 19.7 percent year on year.
It may be recalled that nylon production touched 162,400 tons in February 2012, the highest this year.
Nylon price fell slightly in April, due to reduced price of its raw material - caprolactam.
