Designer's Nest at CPH Vision fashion show

CPH Vision fashion show will start in February 2006.

"18 minutes of inspiration, entertainment and a full focus on designs..." These are the watchwords underlying CPH Vision's first trend-show, CPH Vision of Fashion, which event organisers Blink are currently putting together with Melanie Buchhave as stylist and creative director.

All exhibitors can submit up to six outfits and Melanie then selects and combines the clothes for the 18 models to show to the public.

The all-white podium, lighting and props will be kept extremely simple because the spotlight is on the new designs – the clothes that represent the trend for autumn–winter 2006 in Scandinavia.

"The entertainment value is in the music, the models and all the detail, and 18 minutes has proved to be exactly the right length of time for holding buyers' attention and keeping them from fidgeting – ideally, fashion shows shouldn't last any longer than that, or else it gets tedious watching the models walk up and down on the catwalk and people start fidgeting," explains the owner and Managing Director of Blink, Majbrit Stenholdt.

“She is looking forward to working behind the scenes for CPH Vision's first trend show; this is not finance-driven, but represents a broad cross-section of Scandinavian trends right now, based on both established and fledgling designers.”

There will be plenty of opportunity to be inspired and entertained, because the show will have its premiere in Building 55 on Wednesday 8 February at 6 pm – the first show, exclusively for the press, and then it will run again on Thursday 9 February at 1 pm and 3 pm, Friday 10 February at 1 pm and 4 pm, Saturday 11 February at 1 pm and Sunday 12 February at 1 pm.
