Paris Fashion Week runway glitters with Swarovski crystals

Last city to show, the city of lights welcomed this season the rising star Tex Saverio. He joined thus the emerging talents Anthony Vaccarello, Alexis Mabille, Maxime Simoëns and Masha Ma.

The Swarovski Collective aims to support emerging and established designers in exploring the creative boundaries of crystal use and craftsmanship, and as members of this creative platform designers receive financial support towards their show as well as free reign to experiment with Swarovski crystal.

Tex Saverio February 25th, 14:00 – Automobile Club de France

The AW14 collection consists of 18-22 looks, each deeply inspired by the couture collection: Exoskeleton. The materials used for this season are silks, and metallic knits, while adding a touch of luxury by incorporating fabrics like satin, tulle, lame, Swarovski crystal, and stingray fabrics.” some copper crystals on our wooden marquetry print to evocate the fire that you hear crackling.”

Anthony Vaccarello February 25th, 18:00 – Palais de Tokyo

“The show is inspired by Tony Viramontes, the illustrator from the 1980s. I wanted to reinterpret this abstract side of red and black and create something sculptural.”

Alexis Mabille February 26th, 16:00 – Hôtel Salomon de Rotschild

”My collection is full of my first love codes, my DNA, mens codes mixed with frivolity, and delicate feminine attitude; it is chic, sporty and sensual. I worked with Swarovski crystals in pieces of sportswear with hot fix stones as dots and other more jewels inclusions in darkest colors than usual; but the strong point will be the jewels… Big earrings in colorful stones, huge chandeliers… I wanted to be more on the accessory this season.”

Maxime Simoëns March 2nd, 12:00 – Lycée Jean Zay

“It’s a huge privilege! I’m always honoured to be a part of this project. Our previous collaboration for my very first show in RTW for FW13 was very successful! It’s always interesting to share the creativity between our houses and especially this time Swarovski will help me highlight the theme of the collection.”
