Asian PX, PTA & MEG prices show uptrend

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. PX prices went up in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 795 and 800 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices went up to US$ 780 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 780 to 785 per ton.
 
PTA prices increased in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed an increase in PTA prices, which ranged between US$ 600 and 605 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices went up to US$ 585 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased to a range of US$ 570 to 575 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were stable in a range of RMB 4455 to 4505 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained unaffected in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable ranging between US$ 915 and 920 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 880 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased ranging between 35.50 and 36.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices increased in the European international market to US$ 760 per ton, while they were stable at € 685 per ton in the domestic market.
 
MEG prices increased in Asia. In the SE Asia, MEG prices went up to US$ 740 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased, and they ranged between US$ 725 and 730 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 5655 to 5705 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaffected ranging between US$ 865 and 905 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 875 to 915 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers were stable in the range of US$ 885 to 925 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 895 to 935 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices increased ranging between RMB 6375 and 6425 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained unaffected in the range between US$ 780 and 810 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 790 to 820 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices increased and they ranged between RMB 6175 and 6225 per ton.
 
PSF prices remained unaffected in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices were stable at US$ 990 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices were stable at US$ 890 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were stable ranging between RMB 6950 and 6975 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were stable at RMB 7350 per ton, RMB 8900 per ton and RMB 7250 per ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY declined to US$ 960 per ton, while DTY and FDY prices were stable at US$ 1170 per ton and US$ 930 per ton.
