This 18-month Indo-European co-operation project (Apr 2005–Sep 2006) is aimed at:
*fostering international co-operation between Textile and Clothing companies in two of the most famous industrial districts of Southern India (Tamil Nadu State), through improvement of marketing and design skills *facilitating Indo-European business, through the consolidation of existing relationships or the creation of new productive partnerships.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES 1. To promote knowledge-sharing by transferring expertise, methodologies and best-practices of the Italian textile industry to the Indian garment sector 2. To upgrade the technical know-how of Indian textile SMEs through an integrated programme of training and informative events focused on the development of new designing capacities 3. To consolidate networks and partnerships between companies, specialised centres and institutions supporting the fashion industry and intermediaries 4. To encourage a common corporate social responsibility policy to comply with the forthcoming European market rules.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES To offer a Fashion Know-how Informative/ Training Programme, including an integrated system of: *Workshops *Conferences *Project Works *Some specific e-learning tools, following the setting up of asmall scale web platform
