AREAS OF ACTIVITY The knowledge areas selected for the project activities are: *Market and Consumer behaviour development *Design and fashion creativity to satisfy the T&C Industry needs *New consumption models and social accountability for enhancing the relationships among industrialised and developing countries. *E-commerce strategy for facilitating long distance business partnerships.
THE BENEFICIARIES
*Indian manufacturers of garments, hosiery, clothes, textiles, leather garments, who want to increase their knowledge and, therefore, play a substantial role within the T&C production chain *Indian Trainers and Students – as future operators and employees of the fashion Industry – who will share a new management and technical approach enabling to adapt their expertise to the new strategic scenario of Textile Industry at international level. *Indian intermediaries who can gain experience and expertise through project implementation and know-how sharing with the partners.
On the Indian side, the main weaknesses that the project intends to overcome are:
*an undersized information system on fashion trends and market evolution, which disadvantages the Indian companies, because it prevents them from using the international information sources that enable fashion companies to make accurate product and market researches and design their collections according to market requests
*a not yet explored co-o*a not yet explored co-operation with European companies in ICT usage to exploit co-operative designing and shorten delivery times to the market.
