New BODs at NRF during 2007 Annual Convention & EXPO

The National Retail Federation announced during its 96th Annual Convention and EXPO, the addition of 10 new members to its Board of Directors (BOD). The newly-elected members will each serve a three-year term. Those elected represent some of the world's largest retailers including Office Depot, Inc., McDonald's Corporation and Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation.
The newly-elected additions to the Board of Directors include:
• Ralph Alvarez, President and COO, McDonald's Corporation, Oak Brook, IL
• Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman and CEO, Retail Brand Alliance, Enfield, CT
• Robert DiNicola, Chairman and CEO, Linens 'n Things, Inc., Clifton, NJ
• Roger Farah, President and COO, Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation, New York, NY
• George L. Jones, President and CEO, Borders Group, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI
• Michael Rousseau, President, Hudson's Bay Company, Toronto, ON Canada
• Carl (Chuck) Rubin, President North American Retail, Office Depot, Inc., Delray Beach, FL
• Philip Schoonover, CEO, Circuit City Stores, Inc., Richmond, VA
• James F. Wright, President and CEO, Tractor Supply Co., Brentwood, TN
• Jan de Jong, Worldwide Global Industry Manager, Retail, Microsoft Corporation, was elected to the NRF Board to serve as a representative of NRF's Associate Member Advisory Council.
The National Retail Federation is the world's largest retail trade association, with membership that comprises all retail formats and channels of distribution including department, specialty, discount, catalog, Internet, independent stores, chain restaurants, drug stores and grocery stores as well as the industry's key trading partners of retail goods and services.
NRF represents an industry with more than 1.6 million U.S. retail establishments, more than 24 million employees - about one in five American workers - and 2006 sales of $4.7 trillion. As the industry umbrella group, NRF also represents more than 100 state, national and international retail associations.
