Farmers' organizations requested Government to implement Plant Breeder Rights Act.
Members of Sindh Chamber of Agriculture also appreciated Government's crop maximization project, which was launched at a cost of Rs8 billion.
Yesterday, Federal Minister for Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Sikandar Hayat Bosan also told that under this plan, all the farmers having land less than 12.5 acres in 13,000 villages will be eligible for soft loans at nominal interest.
He also told that Government has signed agreements on cultivation of Bt cotton. These agreements will boost cotton yield and seed companies will be able to earn more profits.
