The Luxury Conference 2007 will be held in New Delhi on March 30 and 31 as part of HT Medias commitment to the pursuit of excellence and to catalyze the growth of the luxury market in India. This is the first time that Delhi would witness a luxury Conference of this magnitude. This is Hindustan Times second Luxury Conference, the first was held in January 2006 in Mumbai.

With a significant rise in disposable income, Indian consumers are more than willing to invest in a luxurious lifestyle, making India a key market to invest in high-end brands.

The luxury segment is growing at a rate of 14% per annum and with a deluge of International luxury brands set to debut in India this year, the conference seeks to bring together global leaders in the world of fashion, design and lifestyle and policy makers in the Indian Government to discuss the state of Indian market, debate the way ahead for luxury retailing in this country and hear success stories from some of the world's biggest names.

The luxury Conference 2007 is Hindustan Times initiative to offer to the Capital's fashion aficionados a sneak preview of the World's leading fashion and lifestyle brands. India is rapidly growing in terms of its economy with the FDI being 51%, the policies are paving way for International luxury brands to capitalize on that growth and untapped potential.

The theme for this years' Hindustan Times Mint Luxury Conference 2007 is 'India: Captivating the World' and would be held at the Taj Palace, New Delhi. The inaugural ceremony would be commenced by Shri Kamal Nath, Minister for Commerce and Industry and Ms Christine Lagarde, Minister for Trade, France.
