Anand Mahindra, an eminent industrialist and scion of Mahindra Group, was on hand to launch the book on April 20, 2007 at NCPA, Mumbai.

It Happened in India, speaks about how Biyani built his business operating through 4 million square feet of retail space, 140 plus stores across 32 cities in India and employing 14,000. The company registered gross audited sales worth Rs 201,876.97 lakhs for the year ended 30.06.2006.

The book is recount of 'India Story' that grew at the back of Indians earning more, spending more, consuming more and thereby creating more jobs across other industries.
