Advanced Fiber Process Development will be held on May 21-22, 2007 at Westin Poinsett Hotel, Greenville, SC.
This short course, presented in conjunction with the Fiber Society's spring meeting, will provide background on the key elements in a fiber spinning process and the state of the art in modeling those elements.
The course also offers information on polymer characterization, including on-line measurements that can be made to verify model predictions. Interactive case study sessions will allow participants to gain hands-on experience with models.
Process engineers, product development personnel, production managers, chemists, engineers, and physicists all would benefit from taking this course developed with National Science Foundation funding.
