Sutlej Textiles total turnover rises by 19% to Rs.714.47cr for FY 2007

Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited (Sutlej Textiles) has a spinning capacity of 2.01 lakh spindles in its two spinning units at Bhawanimandi (Rajasthan) and Kathua (J&K).

It also has capacity to produce 4.8 million metres of fabrics, 2.0 million metres of Home Textiles, 1.6 million pieces of Trousers and to process 20 million metres of fabrics per annum at Bhilad (Gujarat).

The Board of Directors of Sutlej Textiles met on 10th May, 2007 in New Delhi to consider and approve the Annual Accounts for the year ended 31st March, 2007.

The Board of Directors of Sutlej Textiles decided to recommend dividend of Rs. 4.50 per share. The total payment of dividend to be paid to the shareholders will be Rs.575.01 lakhs including dividend distribution tax Rs.83.53 lakhs.

Commenting on the financial results, Mr. C.S. Nopany, Vice Chairman, Sutlej Textiles and Industries Limited, said:

“The financial year 2006-07 saw a strong demand environment both in the synthetic yarn and cotton yarn segments."

"Good realizations and expanded capacity improved our bottom-line significantly during the year. The company is now an integrated manufacturer with the objective of producing more value–added products”.
