Formosa plans maintenance shut down of its Mailiao cracker

Formosa Petrochemical, a leading business enterprise involved in refining of petrochemical products has plans to halt production alternatively of each of its four units in Mailiao for maintenance purposes for a period of 45 days beginning from September 3.
The cracker has both an ethylene and a propylene production capacity which is slated to come on stream again by the middle of October.
Official sources confirmed Fibre2fashion about the shutdown and informed that the company has four different units, all of which would be undergoing a turnaround for a period of 10 days each. It was also revealed that the cumulative annual capacity of unit No. 1, 2 and 3 amounts to 3,00,000 metric tons each while that of No.4 stands at 7,00,000 metric tons.
