The deputy head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) for traditional arts and handicrafts, Mr. Hossein Hatefi-Farmad, announced that all the organizations across the country have to set up the infrastructure required to establish mini handicraft bazaars.
He said that it is not possible for ICHHTO to procure the whole budget required to set up mini handicraft bazaars in all the provinces of the country, therefore, he asked for the cooperation from numerous state organizations to secure the land, roads and utilities for establishing these mini handicraft bazaars.
Last year Mr. Hossein's department obtained the cooperation from several organizations such as Affairs Organization, Organization for Development and Trade, State Prisons Organization and Education Ministry within the framework of Memoranda of Understanding, he informed.
These organizations enjoy suitable facilities which could be utilized by the traditional arts and handicrafts sector, added the official, saying that the result of this cooperation from state organizations will soon become evident nationwide.
He further said that his department has access to the facilities that can be made available to these organizations to enhance collaboration.
