Korean firm to set up tent producing plant in KEPZ

HKD International, a South Korea based textile manufacturer is setting up a plant in the Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) to manufacture tents and bags.
The company which is a producer of outdoor gear will invest US $4.42 million in putting up the plant and will provide employment to 1,645 local people and 14 of foreign origin.
An agreement for setting up the plant was signed between HKD International and Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority on Wednesday.
