The Scottish Retail Award Categories for 2007 are:
• Newcomer of the Year
• Retail Innovation of the Year
• Store Manager of the Year
• Independent Retailer of the Year
• Responsible Retailer of the Year
• Tourism Retailer of the Year
• Shopping Destination of the Year
• National Chain of the Year
• Retailer of the Year
These categories have been selected to reward the retail organisations and individuals who have shown a dynamic and innovative approach to the challenges of modern retailing in Scotland.
This covers multiples and department stores as well as independent, speciality and online retailers who have been operating in Scotland for at least 18 months.
Nomination Process:
The deadline for nominations is Friday, 31 August and the awards will be presented at a gala dinner on Wednesday, 31 October at Glasgow Hilton.
Audience:
The event organiser, Scottish Business Insider, run awards ceremonies attended by high profile business people from the Scottish business market.
This includes bankers, chief executives, lawyers, accountants and company board members. The Scottish Retail Consortium brings the essential retail ingredient. For everyone involved in this sector this will be the most exclusive event of the year.
Programme and Speakers:
The awards will be presented at an extravagant gala dinner on Wednesday 31st October at The Glasgow Hilton. The evening will commence with a champagne reception, three-course dinner and concludes with a high profile speaker. Lorraine Kelly will once again host the evening's events.
