"My mother made all of my clothes growing up and she taught me all about quality and fit at a very young age. Throughout my fashion career the people I respected the most showed me this is the true essence of style," said Webb. "I'm excited to bring my fans on OpenSky a little piece of what I've learned from my mom and world of high fashion."
Inspired as much by her childhood roots in Detroit as by her high-fashion history, the launch of this collection marks the first time Veronica will offer her fans on the site products under her own label.
There are five styles available in a broad range of sizes from XS to 3XL. The pieces in the collection are named after her children: The Len Tee – a basic deep V-neck tee , The Aly Tunic – a 100% silk honey floral print kimono-style top with attached obi belt, The Leila Blouse – a blue, grey, red print 100% silk kimono-style blouse, The Molly Tee – a long-sleeve high-low trapeze top,
The "PA" Cardigan – a V-neck linen knit cardigan with sheer trim detail. The cardigan got its name from the short hand for Personal Assistant - "because it helps every single thing in your wardrobe become more wearable and effective," according to Webb.
As an "Insider" on OpenSky, Veronica has been using her style expertise to curate clothing and accessories for shoppers for more than year. Within OpenSky's network, she is constantly speaking with shoppers who buy from her shop about their style. Royalton by Veronica Webb Exclusively for OpenSky was designed with those shoppers in mind.
"Veronica is very connected to her customers on OpenSky. She talks directly with them regularly giving them style tips and advice," said Simon Black, OpenSky's Chief Merchandising Officer. "These pieces are what they've been asking for and we're thrilled to bring it to them."
