Source Zone to showcase entire range of textile materials

Source Zone being organised by the Apparel Export Promotion Council(AEPC) from November 22 to 24 is expected to be crème de la crème of the textile value chain where buyers, manufacturers and exporters converge to network and source materials for garmenting and accessories.
The event at Apparel House in Gurgaon will bring together manufacturers and suppliers of apparel fabrics, trims and embellishments under one roof for the first time. Most economies around the world are now out of recession and India is witnessing strong domestic demand.
Organisers are making efforts to bring in visitors from all over India through various promotional schemes. Mr Amit Goyal,chairman of AEPC's Apparel Resource Development Committee, said elaborate arrangements have been made for the three-day event. Industry-specific B2B seminars will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
Mr Goyal said the AEPC has tied up with various industry associations like the AEMA and the GEA from New Delhi, the GEAR from Jaipur, the CMAI and the CIAE from Mumbai, the TEA from Tirupur and the AEHA from Chennai. A large number of visitors are expected from these cities.
Leading textile giants like Century Textiles, K G Denim , Bombay Rayon, Alok Industries will showcase the latest trends. Mr S.K.Saraf of Technocraft -- a leading yarn and knit fabric mill -- said the industry has been looking forward to this kind of show for many years.
A group of leading textile majors from Taiwan will also participate in Source Zone. The show dates have been decided keeping in mind the cool weather of Delhi and since the domestic market normally starts buying two weeks after Diwali.
