After the success of its inaugural instalment in the city of Durban, the second leg of the first-ever South African wedding fashion extravaganza SA Bridal Fashion Week is set to take place in the country’s second-most populous city, Cape Town, from October 16th to 19th, 2014.

The upcoming event will feature an array of themed catwalk shows displaying eclectic bridal couture lines from local and international designers, emerging talents, design student and boutiques.

In addition to the lavish presentations of the wedding attires and exquisite bridal lingerie, the four-day soiree will also organize a show highlighting works of photographers and videographers.

Apart from the shows, the event will also serve as a one-stop destination for all other wedding related woes including accessories, jewellery and flowers.

The debut leg of SA Bridal Fashion Week, which was held in August, 2014 in the nation’s largest city of Durban, showcased western, African, indo-western and eastern bridal as well as groomwear designs from names like David Tlale, Karen Monk-Klinjstra, Mike Narainsamy, Shouger Merchant Doshi and Pronovias.

After the Cape Town edition in October, the bridal week will be held in the largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg, sometime in November, 2014. (PB)
