Yarn Expo opens next week

Yarn Expo opens next week for three days from 29 August 2011 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in hall W5. Taking place concurrently to Intertextile Shanghai Home Textile in halls W4 and E1 – E7 and the China International Knitting Trade Fair in hall W5, the three industry-related events provide attendees an overview of the complete global textile supply chain.
This year, nearly 70 upstream yarns and fibre producers from China, Hong Kong China, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will present a variety of products. These include high count and natural fibres and yarns made from cotton, wool, silk and linen/ramie; staple fibres; regenerated and synthetic man-made fibres and yarns; specialty products; elastic, fancy and blended yarns; and computer-related services.
Some of the highlighted exhibitors, this year, include Shanghai Jinyuan International Trading Co Ltd from China who is displaying Micro Modal by Lenzing TM, a fibre that feels soft and smooth and is suitable for a more elegant and luxurious knitted fabric. They are also displaying superfine polypropylene DTY, which is an environmentally friendly product featuring breathable and corrosion resistant functional properties.
Another company producing sustainable and high-performance fibres is Shaoxing Global Chemical Fiber Co Ltd. Their range of ATPDP fibres can be used for apparel fabrics, home textiles and interior accessories. Fancy and metallic yarns are also a popular materials produced by Shanghai Galaxy Metallic Yarns Co Ltd and ZheJiang Lida Modern Textile Co.
On the international spectrum, many of the participating suppliers are returnees, such Aswakowit Co Ltd from Thailand, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Ltd from Pakistan, Kaybee Exim Pte Ltd from Singapore, and Premier Mills Lit from India while the remaining ones are new participants such as Sino Shiny International Limited from Hong Kong, R.M. International from India, Son Ha Trading Production Co Ltd from Vietnam plus many more.
Yarn Expo is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry – CCPIT, China Cotton Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, China Chemical Fibres Association, China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association, and China Textile Information Centre.
