Mitsui Chemicals operates PTA plant at lower capacity

Mitsui Chemicals is operating its Iwakuni, Japan-based purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at reduced capacity.
“The plant is currently operating at 70% capacity due to poor margin of PTA,” a company official told fibre2fashion.
The PTA plant has a capacity to produce 400,000 mt/year.
