Europa to be part of innovative 'Denim Italiano' project

Europa, with its almost 50 years of textile familiar tradition and its leading position in the production of super-stretch cottons of the highest quality thanks to a unique supply chain totally made in Italy with a vertical production structure, capillarity, process innovation that goes from the fiber manufacturing to the finished garment, has decided to be integrant and active part of this new project dedicated to the Italian denim.

Denim Italiano: Italian denim makers is a project that starts from the need of a group of companies to find the proper positioning and presentation of their production excellence fully made in Italy and representative of the entire Italian denim supply chain: from the planning to the readymade garment, from clothing to accessories.

Using Angelo Figus’ words, artistic Director of the project, “Denim lends itself to affect the most formal side of our wardrobe: not only jeans cloth, but also leather and wool, are expressions of its contemporaneity.

“In the world there are many realities dedicated to denim, but only in Italy we have the best companies that produce the complete raw material, from the fiber to fabric. It’s time to tell them!”

And the story will be told with communication methods completely re-set: in the space dedicated to this project, which happens in a striking exhibition-event during Pitti Filati, will be shown a garment collection and accessories that will be expression of each company’s skills: designers, model makers, fabric experts, garment producers, laundries, accessory suppliers, printing plants, embroidery shops, all lined up and each of them with his own know-how, and it will follow a path of 4 leading subjects defined by the designers that are part of the project.

“Another challenge that is surely in our temperament” says Luigi Guarducci that together with Piero Guarducci founded LANIFICIO EUROPA in 1966, and together have already put out roots for a generational exchange (8 children out of 9 work within the company and the ninth is the lawyer of the mill) “Europa, with its constant investment in technology, innovation, creativity, research and development all made in Italy, with its culture of the elastic thread, patented 3 twist, and of the finishings, its continuous tension towards a qualitative and productive excellence that goes from yarn to the finished item most of all in the stretch cottons (where it guarantees a unique fitting and most of all a permanent recovery), and not only this we could not miss an appointment of this level!”

And his presence in the project will be revealed thanks to the highest and most creative expression of some of his products that are realized in line with the designers’ indications and used for the collections thatwill be shown: denim with printed effects and jacquards with patterns to be discovered, stretch real leather and denim fabrics, one way- and two-way-stretch (also jersey look), as well as piece-dyed cottons and yarn-dyed again mono- and bi-stretch.
