PX, PTA & PSF prices continue downtrend in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices inched down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1005/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted in the range of US$ 775/ton to US$ 780/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 755/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 755/ton to US$ 760/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 5295/ton to RMB 5345/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted in the range of 56.00 cents/pound to 56.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 955/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices moved down and were quoted at US$ 805/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 815/ton to US$ 820/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dipped and were offered in the range of RMB 5810/ton to RMB 5860/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1180/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1150/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7825/ton to RMB 7875/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1050/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1060/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices decreased and were offered in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1185/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices fell to US$ 1085/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8100/ton to RMB 8125/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY decreased to RMB 8600/ton, RMB 10450/ton and RMB 8600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY inched down to US$ 1175/ton, US$ 1435/ton and US$ 1160/ton, respectively.
