Mr Kurt Scholler to retire from American Truetzschler

After 21 very successful years as CEO of American Truetzschler, Kurt Scholler will retire at the end of this year and pass the gavel to the next generation of leadership. We wish him all the best for this new chapter in life.
Kurt Scholler brought profound knowledge of the American market to the company when he took over the management of American Truetzschler in 1989. Under his leadership American Truetzschler succeeded to adapt to changing market and customer needs. Kurt Scholler developed American Truetzschler from a primarily manufacturing company to a service oriented enterprise for the spinning industry. American Truetzschler today is also a successful and established company in the field of nonwoven machinery and wire products.
Besides his position as CEO he has been involved in numerous trade associations one of which being the American Textile Machinery Association of which he was chairman from 2001 until 2003.
After leaving his present position at American Truetzschler he will remain connected to the company as a member of the Board of Directors where he can contribute with his knowledge and experience.
In the future American Truetzschler will be managed by Stefan Engel, Vice President Finance and Administration, and Detlef Jaekel, Vice President Sales, Production and Service.
Stefan Engel comes to American Truetzschler from Sia Abrasives, a subsidiary of the Robert Bosch Company and an expert organization in the field of abrasives technology. At Sia Abrasives he was Director of Finance and Operations at their Charlotte location.
Detlef Jaekel started his career in 1965 at Trützschler in Moenchengladbach, Germany and transferred in 1975 to Charlotte. There he is well known to our customers as former head of customer service. He advanced later on to Vice President, Technical Division and was also highly involved and responsible for the implementation of the card wire business.
