Vicunha satisfied with presence at DenimsandJeans

Brazilian denim fabric producer Vicunha Textil said it was satisfied with its participation at the recently concluded tradeshow, DenimsandJeans in Dhaka.

“Vicunha which was the main sponsor at the show, in addition, also received an award for its commitment from Sandeep Agarwal, the tradeshow's organiser,” the company added in a press release.

At a fashion show, a mix of dynamic videos and catwalk presentations of Vicunha styles for summer 2017; also showcased the exclusive 'Solid Denim' sunglasses designed in cooperation with British brand Mosevic.

In addition to the prize money, sponsored by Vicunha, a pair of the handmade 100 per cent denim glasses was presented to the graduate winner of the design competition.

Thomas Dislich, director of Vicunha for Europe and Asia said, “We are more than satisfied with the tradeshow results and were able to further expand our network of contacts.”

“Our prime position at the event ensured a very good flow of visitors, comprising customers and prospective buyers from a wide spectrum of industry sectors,” he too added.

Large department stores as well as retail chains and manufacturers with a European focus visited the exhibition.

The company received good response in particular to its 'Power Stretch' product range, but also added that demand for its 'Comfort Stretch' and more classic weights also continued to rise.

“Soft and flowing fabrics are proving to be a high priority for buyers, with an active demand for the Tencel fabrics in particular,” Dislich observed.

“Our 'Stay Black' range also met great interest and the 'Electric Blue' shades were also well received,” he informed. (AR)
