PTT & 10 Thai Academic Institutes launches Open Innovation 2007 Project

Mr. Aditheb Bisalbutr, President and CEO of PTT Chemical Public Company Limited signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with Prof. Dr. Chaivat Toskulkao, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Science and Technology and representatives from government agencies, academic institutes and organizations in private sector on December 11, 2007 at Centara Grand, CentralWorld.
The memorandum stated a support on innovation development and research to be conducted in form of researching alliance network which consisted of 10 institutional members. This joint effort would be run under the project called “Open Innovation” which has been continued from last year.
Themed as “Infinite Possibilities” this year, the project aimed at promoting larger cooperation, jointly cultivating knowledge base through research project development in order to effectively generate innovation and rapidly make comprehensive effects, boosting commercial enhancement in practical manner to meet customers' requirements and the public in form of new products or new business, minimizing reliance on foreign technology, and sustainably increase competitive advantage of Thailand's petrochemical industry.
