AGV Logistica Ltd a (AGV), one of the fastest growing logistics companies in Brazil, recently announced that it will use Mertech's Flex2SQL for Oracle middleware solution to adopt Oracle as its corporate database with their Visual DataFlex-based applications.

Mertech's plug-in Index Sequencing Database Connectivity (ISDBC) middleware solution allows companies to switch from non-relational databases, such as DataFlex and Btrieve, to relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server without source level changes.

AGV uses sophisticated radio frequency identification (RFID)-based warehouse and transportation management systems to track packages in real time.

Both these systems are fully integrated with their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application which gives customers accurate, real-time information about their packages.

This sophisticated technology has enabled AGV to become a leading player in the highly competitive and fast-growing Brazilian logistics market.

Moving to an Oracle database using Mertech's Flex2SQL solution will give AGV the power and stability of the fastest relational database in the market and will give it unlimited scalability to support their growing business.
