eZCom Software, a leading Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider of multi-enterprise supply chain solutions, is a perfect fit for apparel vendors Magaschoni, Alara Shirt and Spring Footwear. All three apparel vendors have adopted the eZCom Lingo hosted service as their preferred method to manage EDI with their retail customers due to Lingo's supply chain tools that cater to apparel and footwear companies.

Manhattan-based EDI consultant Medine Gul implemented eZCom Lingo almost six months ago at women's luxury apparel manufacturer Magaschoni and most recently with men's dress shirt manufacturer Alara Shirt.

"The startup process was easy and smooth with no need for mapping. Since Lingo is accessed through the Internet, providing our international warehouse with packing instructions is easy and real-time, which has reduced cost and helped get our merchandise out to our customers faster." said Gul, who is using Lingo to receive P.O.s., send ASNs and create and send invoices to department stores such as Dillards, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdales and Macy's. "Clearly, eZCom has the retail domain expertise from an apparel company's perspective, which makes Lingo essential to handling our EDI business processes. Lingo is seven times faster than the EDI service we were using before."

eZCom Lingo is the first SaaS Business-to-Business Integration (B2Bi) application that gives small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) the enterprise tools they need to successfully manage the supply chain process of their EDI relationships. Since Lingo is hosted, there are no large capital outlays. While Lingo helps significantly improve EDI processing for companies in several industries such as housewares, electronics, and retail healthcare, Lingo contains specific functionality such as Automated Pre-Pack Assignment, which helps reduce manual effort from several hours down to a handful of minutes.

Pompano Beach, FL-based Spring Footwear elected to work with eZCom Lingo for its ability to rapidly connect with retailers. With a business focused on importing successful European footwear brands to the U.S., Spring Footwear ships thousands of orders a day to stores such as Sears, QVC, Bells Department Stores, Zappos.com and ShoeBuy.com.

In order to manage this growth, operations manager Tom Dubail switched to eZCom Lingo because it integrates with his company's order management system. "Right away, Lingo enabled Spring Footwear to get up and running with 10 of our retailers," said Dubail. "Three months later we are using Lingo with 16 of our retail customers and plan to add more. With Lingo we can achieve a 'hands-free' EDI process that will free up resources to help manage Spring Footwear's continued growth."
