Dr. H.K. Sehgal
Dr. H.K. Sehgal, a Ph.D. in Economics, is currently working as CEO for Media Consultancy Organization, MediaCorp. He started his career in journalism with a monthly magazine, and has extensive association with the print media. Later on, he worked for a number of institutions including Indian Institute of Mass Communication, besides with public sector undertakings and held important positions; the last one being of a level of a Chief. He had also been deputed to the Govt. of Philippines as economic and financial member of a team for formulating projects for funding by World Bank. He has been registered as a Consultant with Asian Development Bank, Manila, Philippines for a number of sectors. He has donned the mantle of an international civil servant as a professional member with the United Nations Development Programme and had a brief editorial stint with UNESCO Research Centre, Delhi. He has also worked as Vice President with polyester yarn manufacturing, public limited ISO 9002 company with a turnover of over Rs. 200 crore.
Dr. Sehgal has, lately, specialized in textile and garment sector. He has worked as a Managing Editor with a fortnightly Apparel Online, and has held the position of Managing Editor of ‘Global Apparel’. Currently, he has joined hands with ‘The Stitch Times’, as an Editorial Advisor.
He is renowned for his clear perception, incisive analysis and lucid presentations. Dr. Sehgal has also worked as an Advisor with a monthly namely ‘Today’s Education Insight’.
