US emerges as top buyer of apparel

Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) currently reported that exports of the country during the first nine months of 2006 soared over 105 percent in comparison with same period in 2005.
In all markets, US merged as biggest consumer, as the giant economy accounted for 65 percent of total exports turnover of Vietnam.
The association added that textile and apparel exports to the US till the end of October saw a slow trend since exports quota of almost every categories of goods were used up.
