Deluge of retailers return successfully at Pure this year

A record number of retailers came to Pure 12th-14th February 2006 at Olympia, London, buying for autumn/winter 06/07 as well as selecting top ups for spring/summer 06.

Attendance to Pure was up 4 pwercent year on year, proving that tough trading in retail was no match for the irresistible lure of the 150 exciting new womenswear brands at the show, and a whole floor packed with Pure's largest ever collection of accessories and footwear.

With over 800 brands on show, Pure presents the most comprehensive range of quality, directional womenswear plus an insight to the forthcoming trends through the daily catwalks and trend presentations from Drapers.

The combination of hand-picked quality collections and strong editing is key to Pure's success in attracting top-end boutiques and progressive retailers who are sure to find something new and exciting.

Independents that visited Pure included Diverse, Subcouture, Pastiche, Psyche and Sunday Best as well as the top department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Harrods, House of Fraser and Liberty.

Pamela Shiffer in London enthused “the range of collections on display were very exciting with a real injection of new brands.

Despite the current market place, the atmosphere was upbeat at Pure with lots of enthusiasm from both buyers and exhibitors”.

Pauline Tyrer, Buyer from Fall Woman in Cheshire also commented “Pure is great for getting an overall view of fashion trends. The catwalk show was amazing and a great trend leader giving a feel for up and coming looks and textures. This season, I also saw some lovely accessories and took away product advice on what pieces will sit well in my store”.
