Muscat City Centre, Oman's fashion and lifestyle shopping destination, awarded the winning trophy for its monthly 'Best Sales Growth Store' contest to ecco shoes for the month of February.

Now in its third month, the mall's retail initiative rewards outlets based on their increase in sales compared to the same month of the previous year.

ecco shoes emerged as the winner for February 2010, after its enormous 311% sales growth over the same period in 2009, in a special ceremony held at the mall for all retailers.

The winning certificate was handed over by Ibrahim Al Qassimi, General Manager, Muscat City Centre to Saikat Das, Concept Manager, Shoemart (ecco) at the event.

Expressing his happiness, Das said: “We are delighted to have done well this February as compared to last year. Faced with economic conditions in living memory, our team has worked hard to ensure their attractiveness and continuing relevance for our customers.”

“At ecco, we have not only successfully achieved a careful balance, demonstrating innovation and creativity in the design of our products, but also a strong performance in sales,” he added.
