Intertextil Balticum 2007 - spring event of Latvian fashion industry

On February 24 was concluded the 12th international exhibition of textile, clothing, leather garments and production equipment Intertextil Balticum 2007 that was held in Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, Riga.
Intertextil Balticum 2007 gathered 147 participants from 12 countries – Italy, Turkey, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Greece and Latvia that was represented there by 84 participants.
During three days exhibition was visited by 11,121 visitors including wholesalers from Russia, Georgia, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, and other countries.
Fashion industry event especially appraised by Latvia's market players:
During recent years, Intertextil Balticum has been in a key position in commercial fashion events held in Latvia. It is confirmed by the fact that more than 60% of participants are Latvian companies. Compared to previous year, among the participants of Intertextil Balticum 2007 the number of the Latvian companies was considerably bigger.
Along with such experienced manufacturers, which regularly take part in trade fairs as Lenta-12, Onyx, Somdaris, Klippan Saule, Adas Dizains, Limbazu Tine, as well as those having started production relatively recently, there were companies which took part in the exhibition for the first time – AMeri, Artoni Kids, Ina Henri, Kleoss Mode, NJ Studija.
“During recent years proportion of the foreign participants in the exhibition has rapidly grown, therefore more pleasing is the fact that Latvian companies also have appreciated the possibilities that are given by participation in such international exhibition,” says Mrs Ilze Avota, a manager of Intertextil Balticum 2007.
