World demand for dyes and organic pigments is estimated to increase 4.9 percent, annually. The market will be worth US $10.6 billion in 2008. Diversification will remain popular trend in the paint industry.

Developing countries and regions will mark record breaking growth as compared with Western Europe, North America and Japan.

Since demand for organic pigment will continue to expand all round the world, the price is expected to register steady rise.

Asia-Pacific region is projected to surpass North America to become a major market. The demand in this region will persistently exceed the world average, mainly because of the rapid industrialization and economic growth, particular in China and India.

Other developing regions like Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa, the Middle East region will also break through the average level and achieve sustained growth.

The integrated shift of world fiber textile industries from developed counties to low-cost developing countries is the main reason for this trend. Besides, demand for organic pigments in nonwoven markets of the developing countries and regions, is also showing notable growth.
