In May 2009, total volume of China's pure benzene exports registered 2,856 tons and cumulative exports from January-May reached 8,597 tons.
The average export price in May stood at US $515.04 per ton, while between January and May it was $436.51 per ton.
In May 2009, China's imported 84,468,876 tons of Benzene worth $46.50 million at an average price of $550 per ton. Import volume increased 20.5 percent from the previous month.
In other news, Japan's Nippon Oil has announced July contract price for Asian pure benzene at $810 per ton, representing an increase of 27 percent from the June price which stood at $640 per ton.
