The personnel committee of the supervisory board of HUGO BOSS AG and Dr. Sälzer have agreed that at the end of February of this year Dr. Sälzer will leave as member of the board of management of the company by way of amicable arrangement.

The company thanks Dr. Sälzer for his long and very successful activities for HUGO BOSS AG as member of the board of management (since 1995), as deputy chairman of the board of management (since 1998) and as chairman of the board of management (since 2002).

The separation is caused against the background of different views on the further business policy of the company. The leaving arrangement still needs the consent of the supervisory board.

Without delay the personnel committee of the supervisory board will look for a successor of Dr. Sälzer. Until further notice, the business areas for which Dr. Sälzer was responsible will be taken care of by the other members of the board of management.

Dr. Giuseppe Vita, chairman of the supervisory board: “Dr. Bruno Sälzer has shaped the development of HUGO BOSS considerably during the recent years. He has led the brand into an international future and positioned the company for future competition in the market. Major strategic decisions like the introduction of a womenswear line, the broadening of the brand portfolio and the product base fall into his term of office.

We separate by way of amicable arrangement and in a friendly manner. HUGO BOSS AG thanks Dr. Sälzer also in the name of the employees and the shareholders for the job done. We wish him all the best and a lot of success for his next endeavours.”

Dr. Bruno Sälzer: “More than twelve exciting and successful years in the unique culture of HUGO BOSS will come to an end. I will never forget the enthusiasm and passion of the employees when doing their job for our company and I will always remember it with joy. With this special HUGO BOSS spirit the company will certainly look into a continued bright future.”
